IKB Climate Action Plan

At IKB, we believe that caring for our environment is a shared responsibility and an opportunity to grow together. Guided by our core values, we commit to reducing our carbon footprint in meaningful and lasting ways.

  • We are POSITIVE in our relationships and the values we share. We will encourage one another to make environmentally conscious choices and celebrate every step toward a greener future.

  • We are ENGAGED in our learning, our wider school activities, and our community. We will actively participate in sustainability projects, eco-friendly initiatives, and climate education to deepen our understanding and impact.

  • We are RESPONSIBLE for how we conduct ourselves in school and in the community. We will reduce waste, conserve energy, and make thoughtful decisions that reflect our commitment to the planet.

  • We are RESPECTFUL to everyone we meet and to the property and resources we share. We will treat our environment with care, ensuring that our school grounds and shared spaces reflect our respect for nature.

  • We are RESILIENT when things don’t go as planned. We will learn from setbacks, adapt our strategies, and continue striving toward our sustainability goals with determination.

  • We rise to CHALLENGES to learn more about ourselves and to strive for further achievement. Tackling climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our time, and we are ready to meet it with creativity, courage, and collaboration.

IKB Primary School has a Climate Action Plan that details practices we have in place, changes we are hoping to make and areas that we will strive to improve in reducing our schools carbon footprint. This is a working document that we invite the whole school community to be a part of and to have their input.
