Home Learning

At our school, we believe that a strong partnership between home and school is essential for promoting effective learning. Reading is a top priority, and we expect all children to read with an adult at least five times a week. To further support learning at home, we provide children with various educational account logins, such as Numbots, to enhance their key skills. Homework is tailored to be age-appropriate, with each year group having slightly different expectations. We encourage parents and carers to support children in completing and extending their homework whenever possible, as every day is a learning day and conversation is key to fostering inquisitiveness. Each half term, class teachers send home Knowledge Organisers that outline key learning focuses in Science and Humanities. These organisers are a great way to become familiar with important concepts and vocabulary, and to know what questions to ask to support your child's learning journey.

Knowledge Organisers and Newsletters are sent home via Parent Mail ready for the start of each new half term. Copies can be requested from the school office.
